Curriculum Intent
Drama seeks to provide opportunities for students to flourish. Drama develops independence, team work, critical thinking and self-reflection as part of the creative process. We want students to feel a sense of achievement after every performance. Our curriculum introduces students to a range of theatrical styles and genres. Through performance, students understand and empathise with a range of characters, themes and issues from different times and places.
How is drama delivered at Warden Park?
This subject is taught in Key Stage 4. Students studying drama will have 5 lessons per fortnight, some lessons will be the assembly hall, which is our performance space, whilst theory lessons will take place in a classroom.
All students throughout both Key stages 3 & 4 are encouraged to take part in the school production each year.
