IN YEAR 11 YOUR FOCUS WILL  BE ON YOUR GCSES / OTHER QUALIFICATIONs

You will be continuing to complete controlled assessments in class, but will also need to focus on revision for your mocks at around Christmas time, and then of course your summer exams. Your teachers will set homework appropriate to your subjects, and it is important that this is completed well, and on time. Later in the year, you will also be expected to work on your own personal revision outside of school.

You will also need to complete college applications before Christmas, and follow these up with interviews that are hopefully successful and the start of the next stage of your academic journey after school.

It is important that you start every day organised and ready to learn, with the equipment you need and a positive attitude. It is no exaggeration to say that this is the most important school year of your life, and you will get out exactly what you put in. It can and should be a very rewarding and enjoyable year, however there may be times where you feel the strain. If at any time you would like support of any kind, make sure you head over to the Pastoral Office where someone will be able to help you.
