Warden Park Academy Trustees are looking to appoint a well-qualified, ambitious and passionate Deputy Headteacher with a proven track record of success. Science Technician (part time, 2 days) 

Required as soon as possible.  Grade 4 Point 14 FTE annual salary £16,528, actual pro rata salary for 2 days (12 hours)  £4,453 per annum.

We seek an enthusiastic and flexible person to join our team of professional Science Technicians providing technical support to meet the needs of the Science Department.   Experience of working in a laboratory and as part of a technical team in an educational environment is highly desirable. Applicants should have experience in the care, use and maintenance of science equipment and knowledge of standard preparations. A Science based educational qualification would also be an advantage. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • have outstanding interpersonal skills;
  • be a team player who thrives on working collaboratively with colleagues.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES 

Warden Park Secondary Academy has an exciting opportunity for volunteers to work with a range of learners who have a learning/additional support need and require a reader/scribe during examinations and to support assessment work.Full training to provide this support to their learners will be provided.  

Volunteers should have a good academic ability, preferably with previous experience working with young people or within education, and appreciate the importance of confidentiality. 

Volunteers will be asked to complete and return a Warden Park Support Staff application form (see below) and also provide the names and full contact details (including email addresses) of two professional referees.  All successful volunteers will also be subject to a Health Assessment.
